Step-by-Step Setup
- Purchase a filled 5 lb CO₂ tank from a homebrew shop or gas supplier. Confirm food-grade CO₂. Note tare weight stamped on the collar for future reference.
- Attach the CGA-320 regulator to the tank valve. Thread clockwise; hand-tighten, then snug with a wrench. Apply PTFE thread tape to regulator inlet threads if needed.
- Connect the adapter hose from regulator output to the SodaStream machine's carbonation port. Some adapters replace the cylinder entirely; others pass through a hose from the cylinder port.
- Open the tank valve slowly — counterclockwise, no more than one full turn. Check all connections with soapy water. No bubbles means a good seal.
- Test with cold water. Operate the SodaStream normally. If it carbonate as expected, the setup is complete.
